A website that compiles job acceptance data and presents it to users so they can take their best approach to the job application process. With a fun, energetic UI and a helpful idea, this project is oriented towards new grads looking to find work.


As soon-to-be grads approaching the workforce, we are all looking for ways to improve our standing in the workforce. This is something that we all agreed would help us tremendously as we enter this process.

What it does:

Our project provides users with an interface collecting GPA and Internship experience data (and hopefully more in the future) of users to help paint a picture of what it takes to get accepted to various companies. Currently, this is restricted to tech companies, but as it grows we plan to expand it to other fields as well.

How we built it:

Two of us worked on the backend while one of us built out the frontend. Once we were approaching the end of our project, we started to work together to build the connections between the two.

Challenges we ran into:

Setting up the Django backend provided us with a number of challenges; Error after error working to set up the backend.

Accomplishments we're proud of:

The frontend of the site came very naturally and quicker than usual, and I thought it looked quite nice. In addition, grinding through the django to get a fully functioning product was incredibly satisfying.

What we've learned:

We solidified our understanding of HTML/CSS/JS as well as the Django framework. In addition, we learned how to use D3.js.

What's next:

We plan to expand it with more data points for the graph (college prestige, job prestige...), to include more specificity in job titles, and to make it available for more fields of work than simply tech.
